Even as I heard him shout for me from behind, I carried on heading to the elevators and once remembering how things ended between us last time we were in an elevator together, I decided to take the stairs.

Unfortunately for me, this nigga just didn’t know when to leave me alone.

Despite the fact that most of the Dynasty staff had come out to see what all the commotion was about, he continued to chase me down. All I could do was hurriedly run down five flight of stairs, continue to ignore him, and head to the parking lot.

Honestly, I was beyond hurt right now. Jayceon had not only fucked with my wife, but had also lied to my face about fucking with her, or any other chick for that matter. Now here he was, trying to get me to listen to his lies. I wondered how many women he had lied to and gotten away with it. I wasn’t one of them, though.

How could I have been so damn stupid?

I really thought he would be loyal to me when we weren’t even in a real relationship. He wasn’t even taking what we were doing seriously, so why would he take me seriously?

It was only when I ran off the last couple stairs and pushed open the door that took me to the parking lot, that I felt relieved.

I also felt relieved because I no longer could hear Jayceon calling out to me and I turned around only to see no one behind me.

I sighed deeply, quickly catching my breath from all that running, as I began walking to my car, my brown box tightly in my hand and my mind trying to relax.

I was done with Jayceon and I had nothing to worry about when it came to him. There was no more him and me.

I was no longer working for him, I was going to make sure that I focused on me alone. I had to focus on what Victor wanted me to do, take care of the cartel and be the baddest bitch in the game to conquer all these niggas.

The only person I wanted to mess around with from now on was Hakeem. And he was the only person who could make me happy right now. All I wanted to do was get in my car, head to his crib and fu—

A sudden hand came out of nowhere, gripped onto my arm, and pulled me in a completely different direction. I felt my brown box slip out my hands and fall to the ground.

I looked up only to see Jayceon with a stern expression on his face as he pulled me along behind him.

“Jayceon, get the fuck off me!” I protested, trying to push him away from me, but it was no use. His grip on my arm was tight and strong. He didn’t have all those big muscles for nothing.
